I am always on a quest to re-kindle many childhood adventures. I spent many summers with the natives of Guyana, the Arawaks, who taught me about many ingredients they survived on in the rain forest. As an adult, my passion for dwelling with natives and what they eat, led me to the Torres Strait Islands. There is were I discovered wild herbs, fruits and spices the Aborigines have been using for thousands of years, which lead to several expeditions to the unique terrorities of the land down under, I was looking for spices, I found my bush tomato and salt in the Murray River, the combination so is Aussie.
Another find was these containers to house our products. I was in Sulawesi at a beach eating rice steamed directly inside bamboo containers and thought what a great way to create jobs for locals and using a sustainable product such as bamboo to makes these lovely packaging. We even have a cool spoon.
