Tasmanian Pepperberry (whole)
Our native pepperberry, also known as mountain pepperberry, is dark-blue to black
in color and has an intense peppery bite. Pepperberry can be used whole or ground.
When ground, its dark-purple color bleeds beautifully through cream sauces for steaks
or pasta. Our pepperberries are grown organically in Tasmania. They have an earthy
aftertaste, which lingers with a heat that slowly builds up over a period of about
three minutes after eating. Use these pepperberries with care, about one-tenth the
amount of conventional pepper one would use. Tasmanian Pepperberry comes in our
signature airtight tin, which measures 2-1/2 inches in diameter and 1-3/4 inches
in height.
